r1 <br />• WHEREAS by an order of the Board of Selectmen <br />of Ma s hp e e Massachusetts, dated March 15, <br />been granted to the NEW ENGLAND TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH <br />maintain buried cable, manholes, handholes, with the wires and cables therein, <br />in or under the surface of: <br />Uncle Percy's Road <br />as referred to in said order, to which order reference may be had, <br />of the'Chy/Town <br />19 67 , permission has <br />COMPANY to place and <br />markers and other fixtures <br />NOW THEREFORE, KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS that said NEW ENGLAND <br />TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY in consideration of the premises and in compliance <br />with the terms and requirements of said order, doth hereby for itself and its successors and assigns, covenant <br />and agree to and with the said City/Town of Ma s hp e e <br />as follows. - <br />1. That said Company shall indemnify and save harmless the said Eity/Town against all damages, <br />costs and expense whatsoever to which the C-ityf Town may be subjected in consequence of the acts or neglect <br />of said Company, its agents or servants, or in any manner arising from the rights and privileges granted it <br />by the C-ityf Town. <br />2. That said Company will before a street is disturbed for the laying of its cables execute its bond <br />in a penal sum of Five Thousand Dollars ( $5, 000 ) (reference being had to the bond already on <br />file with said Giby/Town) conditioned for the faithful performance of this agreement and of its duties under <br />said permit. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF said NEW ENGLAND TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COM- <br />PANY has caused ei ned in its name and behalf by J.
