The AC power connection shall <br /> connect ahead of the main switch with a <br /> locking device and key. The wiring for <br /> energy fire alarm wire rated at lab <br /> centigrade. <br /> If the layout of a particular structure <br /> calls for common hallways thereshall be <br /> smokedetectors ineach hallway which are <br /> wired to the low voltage alarm system, the <br /> number and location to be determined by <br /> the Fire Chief . These hallway smoke <br /> detectors shall be equipped with at least <br /> nine (9) second delay capacitor and screen . <br /> Also, if common hallways exist there shall <br /> be a pull station at either end of the <br /> hallway located as recommended by the <br /> Massachusetts State Building Code and a <br /> zone panel box in each common hallway. The <br /> number of zones and location of box shall <br /> be negotiable . <br /> Within this low voltage alarm system in <br /> each building or structure there shall be <br /> installed exterior audible bells or horns <br /> and an exterior rotating beacon light <br /> which shall be located as prescribed by <br /> the Fire Chief and which will be activated <br /> by the activation of any warning device <br /> within this closed system. These bells or <br /> horns shall also be installed in the <br /> common hallways, where they exist in any <br /> given building or structure . These r; <br /> bells or horns must be loud enough to be <br /> heard in any room in any unit within <br /> any given building structure . <br /> In reference to a new single structure with <br /> more than one dwelling unit , a zone panel <br /> box or an announciator panel tied to this <br /> closed low voltage alarm system as <br /> prescribed above , and designed to indicate F <br /> all units within said building shall be <br /> installed in a location that is clearly r <br /> visible from the outside of said building. <br /> t <br /> In reference to more than one new <br /> structure , each structure containing more <br /> than one dwelling unit but not more <br /> than five multi -unit structures common to <br /> or within the same complex or project and <br /> -67- <br />
