I <br /> if <br /> j Massachusetts State Building Code . <br /> t <br /> Also if deemed necessar-y by the Fire <br /> Chief , an announciator panel shall be <br /> installed in a common hallway with the <br /> number of zones and locations of said <br /> box negotiable . <br /> Within this low voltage alarm system <br /> within each building or structure there <br /> shall be installed exterior audible <br /> bells or horns as prescribed by the <br /> Fire Chief , there shall be an exterior <br /> rotating beacon light located as <br /> prescribed by the Fire Chief . <br /> i The above mentioned bells or horns <br /> shall also be installed in the common <br /> hallways where they exist in any given <br /> building or structure . These bells <br /> or horns must be loud enought to be <br /> heard in any room in any unit within <br /> any given building or structure . <br /> The alarm systems mandated by the By- <br /> Law for all existing multi -dwelling <br /> buildings or structures, must comply <br /> with the standards set forth herein , <br /> within a maximum implementation <br /> period of twenty-four months after <br /> notification by the Fire Chief . <br /> I <br /> I Maintenance of all installed systems <br /> is crucial . Prior to acceptance of <br /> any system, a service contract or a <br /> notarized affidavit must be presented <br /> to the Fire Chief verifying that the <br /> alarm system is bieng maintained on <br /> ii at least an annual basis. <br /> I I <br /> j This maintenance service must be <br />'! provided by the owner of the structure <br /> or structures in the case of an <br /> apartment (s) building, hotel , motel , <br /> boarding house , etc . , or by an <br /> association formen by a group of owners <br /> as in the case of condominiums. The <br /> builder of the condominiums shall <br /> include a clause in the deed so <br /> stating that the responsibility of <br /> the alarm system maintenance will be <br /> placed on the association . <br /> There will be a penalty fee of twentY- <br /> I <br /> —70— <br />
