Article 4.7 The Use of Waterways, Ponds and Lakes <br /> Section 4.7. 1 Sneed Regulations <br /> a. No person shall operate a motor boat , <br /> as defined in Chapter 908 of the <br /> Massachusetts General Laws, on the ponds <br /> of Mashpee within 150 feet of shore at a l <br /> rate of speed in excess of 6 miles per <br /> hour . No person shall operate a motor <br /> boat in any area of any pond at a speed <br /> greater than 6 miles per hour during s <br /> the period from one hour after sunset to <br /> one hour before sunrise . <br /> b. Speed shall not exceed 6 miles per 1 <br /> hour and no wash shall be created in <br /> posted areas nor within 150 feet of <br /> bathers, divers, small vessels propelled <br /> by means other than machinery, vessels <br /> not underway, or commercial or private <br /> docking or mooring areas. <br /> Section 4.7.2 Pollution . the discharge or disposal <br /> (by motorboat operators or passengers) of <br /> oil , dead fish , waste , rubbish , debris <br /> or sewage in the waters, shores or <br /> foreshores is prohibited. <br /> Section 4.7.5 Moorings. <br /> a. The locations, type and adequacy of <br /> every mooring must be approved by the <br /> Harbormaster or Assistant Harbormaster <br /> before placement . Any mooring may be . <br /> .inspected, removed or relocated <br /> whenever , in the judgement of the C' <br /> Harbormaster or Assistant Harbormaster , VV <br /> the safety of the other vessels or <br /> I' <br /> properties, or maximum use of the area <br /> requires such action . The expense of <br /> such inspection , removal , or <br /> relocation shall be the responsibility <br /> of the owner . <br /> I�I <br /> b. Each mooring buoy shall be painted <br /> 6 E <br /> white with a visible blue band which can k <br /> be seen from a minimum distance of 150 feet <br /> and shall be identified by the owner's name <br /> and/or designated number . <br /> C .
