Article 4.7 The Use of Waterways, Ponds and Lakes Section 4.7. 1 Sneed Regulations a. No person shall operate a motor boat , as defined in Chapter 908 of the Massachusetts General Laws, on the ponds of Mashpee within 150 feet of shore at a l rate of speed in excess of 6 miles per hour . No person shall operate a motor boat in any area of any pond at a speed greater than 6 miles per hour during s the period from one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise . b. Speed shall not exceed 6 miles per 1 hour and no wash shall be created in posted areas nor within 150 feet of bathers, divers, small vessels propelled by means other than machinery, vessels not underway, or commercial or private docking or mooring areas. Section 4.7.2 Pollution . the discharge or disposal (by motorboat operators or passengers) of oil , dead fish , waste , rubbish , debris or sewage in the waters, shores or foreshores is prohibited. Section 4.7.5 Moorings. a. The locations, type and adequacy of every mooring must be approved by the Harbormaster or Assistant Harbormaster before placement . Any mooring may be . .inspected, removed or relocated whenever , in the judgement of the C' Harbormaster or Assistant Harbormaster , VV the safety of the other vessels or I' properties, or maximum use of the area requires such action . The expense of such inspection , removal , or relocation shall be the responsibility of the owner . I�I b. Each mooring buoy shall be painted 6 E white with a visible blue band which can k be seen from a minimum distance of 150 feet and shall be identified by the owner's name and/or designated number .
