TOWN OF MASHPEE <br />BOARD OF APPEALS <br />May 9, 1974 <br />DECISION OF THE BOARD OF APPEALS ON THE PETITION <br />OF NEW SEABURY CORPORATION FOR SPECIAL PERMIT TO <br />CONSTRUCT ADDITONAL TENNIS COURTS. <br />HEARING: May 1, 1974, 7:30 P.M. <br />BOARD MEMBERS: Clara Keliinui <br />Kevin D. Boyle <br />PETITIONER: New Seabury Corporation <br />FACTS: The petitioner has requested a Special Permit to <br />construct 4 additional tennis courts and a parking <br />area for 16 cars located in a R-2 zoning district <br />under the terms of the Zoning By -Law, Section 6.3, <br />Land Use Regulation B. 13. The proposed area is located <br />in the "Mall" area of New Seabury, adjacent to the <br />existing four tennis courts located off of Cross Road <br />extention, Hush Road and 300 feet from Great Oak Road. <br />The premises and all abutting property is owned by <br />New Seabury Corporation. <br />DECISION: <br />The Board hereby grants to New Seabury Corporation <br />a Special Permit to construct four additional tennis <br />courts as per plan submitted to the Appeals Board on <br />May 1, 1974 and on file with the Town Clerk. The Board <br />of Appeals has determined that the additional tennis <br />courts will not be detrimental to the Town or the area <br />by reason of excessive traffic noise or demand on <br />community facilities, and the additional courts will be <br />in the best interest of the New Seabury community by <br />meeting increased demands for this recreational facility. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />ItCEIVED <br />an A . f t �^r,, <br />GC� �VdiL�c� <br />iPEE TOWN CLERK <br />
