TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> 5 TOWN HALL, MASHPEE, MASSACHUSETTS 02649 <br /> r� DECISION! <br /> RE : Petition of Half Tide Marina, Inc.. for a Special Permit <br /> Case #SP-83-3-008 <br /> A Petition was filed by the Half Tide Marina, Inc. of <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts for a Special Permit to operate a Marina <br /> with docking capacity for 54 boats, 2 work docks, 1 gas dock <br /> plus sales and service, on property located in Shoestring Bay <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Mass- <br /> achusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication <br /> in the Fa3mouth_`Enterpr se, a newspaper of general circulation <br /> in the Town of Mashpee on February 5, and February 22, 1983 a <br /> copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee <br /> Town Hall on Wednesday, ,March 2, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. at which time <br /> the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and <br /> acting throughout: Peter Lawrence, Manuel E. Costa Jr. and <br /> Virginia T. Landry. <br /> The area known as the Half Tide Marina has been used for <br /> a boatyard and/or marina type operation almost continuously <br /> since the 1940' s. In May of 1972 a permit was issued for dockage <br /> and bulkhead use of the property, duly signed by the Selectmen <br /> as the permit granting authority. On February 2, 1973 the Army <br /> Corps .of Engineers issued a permit for the dockage system as per <br /> plans submitted to the Board of Appeals. <br />
