Bradford Wheatley for a Variance V-90-47 <br /> A Petition was filed by W. Bradford Wheatley of New York, New York <br /> for a Variance under Section 174-31 of the Land Space Requirements for <br /> permission to vary the setbacks in an R-3 zoning district on property <br /> located at 57 Tide Run (Map 125, Block 253) Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br /> (Agent: New Seabury Co.) <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee <br /> on May 7 and May 14, 1990, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town <br /> Hall on Wednesday, May 23, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following <br /> members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: <br /> Cheryl A. Hawver, Michael A. Makunas and William J. Hanrahan. <br /> Michael Denton of New Seabury Engineering represented the applicant. <br /> He presented plans for a 12' x 30' swimming pool to be located 19' <br /> from Tide Run. A letter was received from Dr. George M. Wheatley <br /> stating that he had advised his son to have a pool for hydrotherapy. <br /> Two abutters attended the hearing and objected to the Petition. <br /> They explained that other homes in the area had been required to <br /> conform to the 40' front setback requirement in the By-laws. <br /> h <br />
