April 19, 195 to be a full day of classes
( {, * Wednesday, June 14 is on the calendar for last day of school &
8th grade graduation.
- The council decided to join the 8th grade parents in
requesting that the 8th grade graduation be moved to Tues.
night, June 13, 195 due to the fact that graduation is such a
long day already.
- Other items related to this issue: conflict in types of dress
to be worn. Graduation requires dress clothes, but last day of
school is better for more casual clothes to facilitate the
beginning
_of re-organization of=classes_,_moving boxes, --etc. in-
beginning preparations for -next -year - -
- If 8th grade students attend school on last day following
graduation, they will be required to attend regularly
scheduled classes.
In the future we will need to re-visit the School Improvement
Plan and handbook revisions due to the changes in the school
day to be made to accomodate new state regulations. Agreed this
should be part of agenda at next ( joint) school councils mtg.
- Charles Andrade may be able to lend advice on this issue.
* Next JOINT school council meeting(tentative) : Tues April 25, 195
i
R5/1cCL
