MASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> AUGUST 8, 1995 <br /> MEETING CONMENCED AT 7:00PM <br /> Finance Committee members present: Marcia King, Chairman; Sid <br /> Golub, Vice Chairman; Dan Goggin; Alec Watt and Juan Bacigalupi . <br /> Denise Sullivan and Tony Gallo were unable to attend. <br /> Please note for the record that the taping of this meeting is for <br /> the transcription of the Minutes only. Once the Minutes are <br /> approved, the tapes will be reused. <br /> Minutes <br /> Juan Bacigalupi MOTIONED to accept the Minutes of June 13 , 1995 as <br /> written. Mr. Golub seconded the Motion and members approved 4-0. <br /> Mr. Bacigalupi MOTIONED to accept the Minutes of June 27, 1995 as <br /> written. Mr. Golub seconded the Motion and members approved the <br /> minutes 5-0 . Mr. Bacigalupi MOTIONED to approve the Executive <br /> Session Minutes for June 27th. Mr. Golub seconded the Motion and <br /> members approved 5-0. <br /> Reserve Fund Transfer Request <br /> There was a request from the Reserve Fund from Jane LaBute, Town <br /> Clerk. She requests that $2,876 be transferred in order to cover <br /> start up costs for Massachusetts Voter Registration. Ms. LaBute <br /> provided a list of supplies needed for the Elections and <br /> Registration Office, as well as their costs. <br /> Mr. Goggin suggested writing a letter to Ms. Labute and requesting <br /> that she first use the money in her budget and then come back to <br /> the Finance Committee when she runs out. Mr. Goggin also mentioned <br /> that the Elections Salary and Wage account may be over funded and <br /> that possibly these expenses could be paid from this account. Town <br /> Meeting would need to approve this transfer. Mr. Golub requested <br /> that Ms. Labute explain why these costs were unforeseen. Dan <br /> Goggin MOTIONED to oppose this transfer request and ask that the <br /> Town Clerk first use her money in her current budget and then come <br /> back to the Finance Committee at a later time. Mr. Golub also <br /> added that he would like to know how the prices were arrived at and <br /> whether a State Purchasing List was used. Juan Bacigalupi seconded <br /> the Motion and members approved 5-0. <br /> Stipulation of Dismissal <br /> Ms. King gave two copies of the Stipulation of Dismissal which she <br /> received from Town Counsel . She indicated that Town Counsel did <br /> not state which Stipulation the Finance Committee should accept, <br /> only that it is a 50/50% chance of recovering legal fees. The <br /> first Stipulation indicates that the Plaintiff will pay legal fees. <br />
