Ms. <br /> King also mentioned that there should be some savings in the school <br /> budget, due to their not paying $50,000 for maintenance of their <br /> Town Hall offices and also the fact that they are getting a copier <br /> from the Capital Improvement Plan and not from their budget. Mr. <br /> Golub requested that Ms. King ask Dr. DeMoura to give them School <br /> Committee packets. <br /> Mr. Watt stated that the Town would be saving approximately <br /> $450,000 by not sending their students to Falmouth. Mr. Goggin <br /> also asked why the ninth graders could not stay in Mashpee? Ms. <br /> King was not sure their was a contingency plan. She indicated that <br /> the School Committee are only certain about the entering ninth <br /> graders and only a possibility of having a second class. <br /> Selectmen's Meetings <br /> Ms. King indicated that she would be attending the next Selectmen's <br /> meeting on the 14th. Mr. Watt stated that he would attend August <br /> 28, 1995 and Mr. Golub on Monday, September 11th. <br /> Long Range Plan <br /> Ms. King prepared a draft of the Long Range Plan. She asked the <br /> Committee to review the Plan and asked Mr. Goggin to check numbers <br /> to see if there are any problems. Ms. King indicated that she <br /> would get a comparison of Towns' tax rates. <br /> Other Business <br /> Ms. King stated that she would ask the Executive Secretary for a <br /> breakdown of Legal Services. <br /> Mr. Bacigalupi indicated that the Committee needed to appoint <br /> someone to the Capital Improvement Committee. Mr. Bacigalupi <br /> nominated Sid Golub as the Finance Committee's appointment. Ms. <br /> King seconded and members approved 5-0. Ms. King stated that she <br /> would speak to Mike Kumin and also the Executive Secretary about <br /> the citizen's appointment. <br /> Mr. Bacigalupi had concerns in regard to the Plumes that more <br /> property would be affected and property values would continue to <br /> decrease. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 8:10PM.
