Page 3 <br /> catalogue of Professional Development Programs for State and Local <br /> Government Employees which is available at the Personnel Office. <br /> The Town Accountant sent out a memo notifying all departments that <br /> as of July 1, 1995 milage reimbursement is 30 cents per mile. <br /> There was a letter from Legal Services for Cape Cod and Islands, <br /> Inc. asking for financial support for their program. <br /> The Finance Committee also received a Guide to Financial Management <br /> for Town Officials. <br /> The Committee received a report of their FY96 budget. To date <br /> there is $100,000 in their Reserve Fund and $1,000 in their Expense <br /> Account. <br /> October Town Meeting <br /> Ms. King asked that Joyce Mason in the Board of Selectmen's Office <br /> be sent a memorandum with the Finance Committee's recommendation <br /> for a Stabilization Account Article for the October Warrant. The <br /> deadline is Thursday, August 10th. Mr. Goggin asked if their was <br /> a schedule/calendar prepared for the October Town Meeting? Ms. <br /> King answered that the Finance Committee needs to meet on September <br /> 5th in order that their recommendations be published by September <br /> 10th. <br /> Mr. Bacigalupi mentioned that it would be cheaper for the Finance <br /> Committee to prepare an insert for the community newspaper than <br /> sending mailings to residents with their recommendations. He also <br /> mentioned that the October meeting should be matters pertaining to <br /> zoning and unpaid bills only. Mr. Bacigalupi asked that Mr. <br /> Whritenour be asked to furnish the Committee with the latest draft <br /> of the Warrant. <br /> School Issues <br /> Ms. King informed the Committee that she scheduled a joint meeting <br /> with the School Committee for Tuesday, August 29th. She will ask <br /> Dr. DeMoura if the Middle School Library would be available for <br /> that meeting. Ms. King also mentioned that she has been in contact <br /> with the Superintendent and currently they are making decisions <br /> about the cost of bringing the ninth graders back to Mashpee. Ms. <br /> King mentioned that she asked for a breakdown of costs for <br /> teaching, as well as support staff. The teaching staff costs <br /> should start out small. She also stated that Dr. DeMoura would be <br /> looking for about a million to open the high school. Mr. Golub <br /> stated that he would like to have the School Committee's numbers <br /> before the joint meeting. <br /> Ms. King asked that Mr. Bacigalupi check into the DARE officer for <br /> the schools and which department she is funded from.
