Page 2 <br /> open on schedule. Dr. DeMoura also requested that the Finance <br /> Committee have a starting figure at their joint meeting. Ms. King <br /> stated that she had begun putting in numbers given by the <br /> Department of Education. It is not quite completed. Dr. DeMoura <br /> felt a meeting would be possible, mid to end of November. Mr. <br /> Golub mentioned that at the last joint meeting it was recommended <br /> that columns be set up to list costs that cannot be altered and a <br /> column of variables that could be altered. <br /> Finance Committee Follow Through <br /> Mr. Golub mentioned that the october 10th Minutes contained special <br /> assignments for certain members. He suggested that an addendum be <br /> added to the Minutes so that these special assignments would not be <br /> overlooked. Ms. King mentioned that a member still needed to be <br /> appointed. Mr. Bacigalupi stated that he had spoken with the <br /> editorial assistant at the Cape Cod Times and with Paul Ott at the <br /> Enterprise. Mr. Ott said that he would discuss the Finance <br /> Committees interests with the editor. Mr. Watt indicated that he <br /> would pursue getting copies of existing contracts. Mr. Bacigalupi <br /> said that he had the Firefighters. Mr. Watt will also do some <br /> research on By-law changes. <br /> Meetings and Other Happenings <br /> Mr. Goggin mentioned that the Computer Committee is meeting on <br /> Thursday at 2:OOPM. He thou that Mr. Golub might be able to <br /> attend. Mr. Golub agreed to tend. <br /> Ms. King noted a change in a meeting scheduled by the League of <br /> Women Voters regarding Open Meeting Law. The meeting is now <br /> scheduled for Wednesday, December 6th. <br /> Mr. Goggin mentioned that at the meeting last night it was <br /> suggested that a committee be formed to create a Town Report. Mr. <br /> Goggin felt that this would be a good committee for the Finance <br /> Committee to be involved in. He also stated that most Towns' <br /> Annual Reports are put out by the Finance Committee. Ms. King also <br /> felt that the Town Warrant should be published early and sent to <br /> every household with a registered voter. Mr. Bacigalupi also <br /> mentioned that the Finance Committee should have their reasons for <br /> their recommendation printed in the Warrant. <br /> Fire Department Issues <br /> Mr. Bacigalupi stated that the RFP has not even gone out for <br /> renovations to the Fire Department. He mentioned that at the May <br /> Town Meeting it was approved to start the bidding for renovations. <br /> Mr. Bacigalupi explained that this is no fault of Chief Baker. He <br /> has completed what he was responsible for. Mr. Bacigalupi also <br /> mentioned that Chief Baker has acquired a computer program which <br /> looks at the Town's response time and informs where shortages are. <br />
