1 MASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES I NOVEMBER 714, 1995 MEETING COMMENCED AT 7:OOPM Finance Committee members present: Marcia King, Chairman; Sid Golub; Dan Goggin; Juan Bacigalupi; and Alec Watt. Tony Gallo was unable to attend. Please note for the record that the taping of this meeting is for the transcription of the Minutes only. Once the Minutes are approved, the tapes will be reused. Minutes Juan Bacigalupi Motioned to accept the Minutes of October 10, 1995 and October 24, 1995 as written. Mr. Golub seconded the Motion and the Finance Committee approved the Minutes unanimously. Correspondence The Finance Committee received a copy of a memorandum sent to the Board of Selectmen from Joyce Mason, Administrative Assistant. The memo was written to clarify the confusion at the previous meeting of the Board of Selectmen. There was a letter written to the Finance Committee from Michael Pietrowski , Audio Visual Department at the Mashpee Public Schools. The letter offered a cost breakdown of broadcasting town meetings. The grand total of estimated cost was $3,122.20. The Committee discussed the information and noted that the cost may be high due to the number of evenings Mr. pietrowski has scheduled for the spring and fall town meetings. Mr. Golub suggested that Mr. Pietrowski should come to a meeting and discuss this breakdown with the Committee. New Business Ms. King informed the Committee that the Board of Selectmen declined their invitation to meet with them tonight because they felt it was premature to discuss contract negotiations. Mr. Golub asked if the Finance Committee is on record with their request to be part of the process? Ms. King answered that yes they were on record. The Selectmen are very much aware. Ms. King asked which Finance Committee member was the liaison to the DPW? Mr. Golub answered that he was. Ms. King asked Mr. Golub to speak with Mr. Taylor regarding a request that he has made for approximately $1,200 to repair a private road damaged by the Water District. Ms. King informed the Committee that there is a fund entitled Emergency Repair for Private Roads. She questioned why the Town would be responsible for private roads. It was Mr. Watt's opinion, that it was a matter of public safety to a certain extent.
