During the reconstruction of the
bridge, the wall was damaged. It has been deemed a safety hazard and a
liability issue of concern. The Director of Public Works has
recommended that the wall be removed for safety reasons.
The Bornstein's, residents of the subject area would like the MA Highway
Department to repair the wall upon completion of the bridge project.
Motion made by Selectman Leveille to refer the matter to Town
Counsel, and request that Kopelman and Paige draft correspondence
to the Bornstein's recommending that the wall be removed for safety
reasons as suggested.
Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters.
VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0.
