396 +Town Meeting May 3, 1977 ARTICLE 32. To see if the Town will vote to construct a sidewalk from Quashnet Road South on Great Neck road to the Rbtary on one side of the Street. (Submitted by citizens of Mashpee) ARTICLE 33. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate funds to construct a sidewalk or pedestrian way on one side of Route #130 from the Town Hall east to the Barnstable line. (Submitted by the Citizens of Mashpee) e - Not recommended by the Finance Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to indefinitely postpone. Vote carried. ARTICLE 34. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $ for the purchase of four (4) wheel drive vehicle for the Conservation and Wildlife Officer. (Submitted by the Conservation and Wildlife Officer) Not recommended by the Finance Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to indefinitely postpone. Vote Carried. ARTICLE:35. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Dollars) to be placed in the Conservation Fund. (Submitted by the Conservation Commission) Not recommended by the Finance Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to indefinitely postpone. Vote carried. ARTICLE 36. To see if the Town will vot e to raise and appropriate or fake from available funds the sum of $3,900.00 for seeding aquaculture rafts with seed quahogs and oysters. (Submitted by the Shellfish Constable) Not recommended by the Finance Committee as this item is already in- cluded in the Shellfish Warden Budget. ACTION: Moved and seconded to indefinitely postpone. Vote carried. ARTICLE 37. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or ' take from �Lvailable funds thh sum of $ for the purchase of a two%on, friction -type roller to be used for highway maintenance. (Submitted by the Highway Department) Not recommeiided by the Finance Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to indefinitely postpone. Vote carried. ARTICLE 38. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of $30, 534.00 to be expended in conjunction with highway construction under Chapter 90 guidlines: one third representing the Town's share, $7,634.00; and two thirds representing the State's share, $22,900.00. These monies to defray the cost of construction of Old Barnstable Road. The State's share, when reimbursed, to be returned to Surplus Revenue. (Submitted by the Highway Department) Recommended by the Finance Committee with an amendment. ACTION: Motion was made and seconded to have the amendment read as follows: To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of $30,534.00 to be expended in conjunction with highway construction under Chapter 90 guidelines: The Town's share, $7,634.00; and the State's share, $22,900.00. These monies to defray the cost of construction of Old Barnstable Road. The State's share, when reimbursed, to be returned to Surplus Revenue. Motion carried. ARTICLE 39. To see if the Town will vot e to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of 4 to replace the concre guard posts on Route #130 with steel guard rail and to replace the concrete guard posts on Great Neck Road with steel guard rail. (Submitted by the Highway Department) Not recommended by the Finance Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to indefinitely postpone. Vote carried. ARTICLE 40. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $1,858.00 to be used for safety equipment and uniforms for the men of the Highway Department. (Sub- mitted by the Highway Department)
