9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 23, 2017 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Approval of request for temporary signage, Blood Drive, Cape Cod Healthcare: <br /> A Temporary Sign Permit was before the Board for signage from Cape Cod Healthcare to <br /> promote a blood drive on the dates of February 27, 2017, April 24, 2017, June 19, 2017, August <br /> 14, 2017, October 23, 2017 and December 18, 2017 at the Christ the King Church. Four <br /> sandwich board signs are proposed to announce the blood drive on the intended dates. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the request of Cape Cod Healthcare for a <br /> temporary sign permit on the dates as referenced for the annual blood drive. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br /> Approval of request for temporary signage, Dancing for a Cure, Celeste Reynolds (MHS <br /> Celeste Reynolds (MHS) was in attendance to request the Board approve a Temporary Sign <br /> Permit application to hold a dance marathon on February 4, 2017 entitled Dancing for a Cure <br /> planned to be held at the Mashpee High School. No more than five small lawn signs are <br /> proposed for placement in areas near the high school site location. The four hour event will <br /> benefit breast and ovarian cancer research. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the request of Celeste Reynolds (MHS) for <br /> a temporary sign permit on Saturday, February 4, 2017. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br />
