6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 10, 2017 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Rick York, DNR Director: <br /> Certification of Hiring Process for Shellfish Constable, Brian Everett: <br /> Richard York, Director of Natural Resources was in attendance to review the hiring process for the <br /> position of Shellfish Constable. Town Manager Rodney C. Collins recommended the Board of Selectmen <br /> certify and confirm the hiring process in accordance with the Town of Mashpee regulations. <br /> Brian Everett of Mashpee is deemed well-qualified for the position, and was the unanimous <br /> recommendation of the hiring panel. With the Board's approval, Mr. Everett will begin the position on <br /> July 11, 2017. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to certify and confirm the Hiring Process of Brian Everett for <br /> the position of Shellfish Constable. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Opposed, none <br /> Acce tante of donation/gift of real ro ertto the Town for use b the Department of Natural Resources <br /> 270 Monomosco Road: <br /> Richard York,DNR was also before the Board to request consideration to accept the offer from Jeanne <br /> and Lewis Mantel to donate land at 270 Monomoscoy Road for use by the Department of Natural <br /> Resources to implement the CWNMP for shellfish propagation and water quality restoration. <br /> The 0.377 acre lot is referenced on Assessor's Map 120 as parcel 58,recorded in Book 23108 on page <br /> 286. This waterfront area is an ideal location to grow more shellfish seed for the implementation of the <br /> Comprehensive Watershed Nitrogen Management Plan to restore water quality in Great River. <br /> It was recommended the Board of Selectmen accept the donation of property for shellfish propagation. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to accept the donation/gift of real property identified as 270 <br /> Monomoscoy Road,Mashpee as referenced under the care and control of the Board of Selectmen <br /> for the purposes consistent with the DNR, and if it is required to prepare an article for the October <br /> Town Meeting warrant,if not, the Board of Selectmen shall move forward with the donation/gift of <br /> real property from Mr. & Mrs. Mantel for use by the DNR. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Opposed, none <br />
