Draft#6 September 7, 2017 1n the buy-down program it is projected that three(3)homes would be purchased by the Housing Authority as affordabie'rental properties, using an'estimated $125,000 in CPA funds per home. A deed restriction would maintain the affordability of the subject properties in perpetuity. The Mashpee Housing Authority would purchase the home and maintain ownership thereof,The Housing Authority, as landlord,would rent the properties to qualified tenants to offset mortgage costs, repairs and other ownership expenses, as required. 'To the maximum extent allowed by law, rental units would be offered to Mashpee residents. The vote of the Community Preservation Committee was unanimous 5-0 in support of this project. The Board of Selectmen recommends Town Meeting approval by a vote of x-x The Finance Committee does not'recommend Town Meeting approval by a vote of 5-0 Article 8(I]#6) To see if the Town will vote.to appropriate and transfer.the sura of$20,000 from the Waterways improvement Fund to the Department of Natural_Resources Equipment Expense Account for the purpose of purchasing equipment/hardware for-maintenance of waterways by the Department of Natural Resources/Harliorma5ter, or take any.ather action relatingthereto.
