Draft#6 September 7, 2017 <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends Town Meeting.approval by a vote of x-x <br /> The.Finance Committee recommends Town Meeting approval by a vote of 5-0 <br /> Article 17 (D#6) <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-law by amending the Section 174-25 Table <br /> of Use Regulations Subsection 174-25.A. (9) by amending the text to read as follows:The storage <br /> of one (1) travel trailer, camping trailer or motorhome, provided that it not be used for human <br /> habitation while so stored, and provided that the location of such storage shall not be within ten <br /> (10)feet of any abutting property. For such trailer.or motorhome up to 30 feet in length, storage <br /> is by right, Storage of larger trailers and motorhomes shall be subject to approval by the Plan <br /> Review Committee"; and by replacingthe letters "PR" in the R-3 and R-5 columns with the letters <br /> "Y/PR", or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by. Manning Board <br /> Explanation This article'-would amend the Zoning-.By-law to allow the storage of one travel <br /> trailer, camping trailer or rriotorhome on a residential lot by right,` provided that they are not <br /> inhabited and are stored at least 10 feet from neighboring properties. It'would allow such storage <br /> by right for trailers= or rnotorhomes 'iess than :30 feet;in length,-while requiring Plan' -'Review <br /> Committee approval for biose`greater than 30-feet. The. current:by-law _requires that all such <br /> storage.receive a permit'0om the⢠Plan Review Committee and-that the applicable'.building <br /> setbacks (usually 40 feet front, 15 feet side and'T'br).`appiy It has been submitted at the request <br /> of the Building Commissioner,who Oestioned the need for a PIanAeview permit, of N"ich only <br /> one.has been requested 'in-recent memorydespite the existence of the by-law since'1983, and <br /> despite the numerous examples of such storage in the town _ <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends Town Meeting approval-by a vote of x-x <br /> The Finance Committee does not recommend Town Meeting approval by a vote of 4-0-1 <br /> Article 18 (D#6) <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-law by amending the Section 174-31 Land <br /> Space Requirements Table'by adding reference.to a footnote 24 in the "(stories)" and "(feet)" <br /> columns in the C-1 row and by adding the following new footnote 24: <br /> "(24) Except that hotels and motels may be 4 stories and 50 feet if approved by the Planning <br /> Board as part of a Special Permit for a project and that said building shall be consistent with the <br /> Cape Cod Commission design guidelines entitled "Contextual Design on Cape Cod"dated October <br /> 1, 2009.", or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Planning Board <br /> 14 <br />
