HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE—PUBLIC SESSION <br /> FEBRUARY ][8, 20][6—2:00 P.M. <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL— OCKWAY MEETING ROOM <br /> Committee Members Present: Also Present: <br /> John Calahane Gail Wilson, Human Services Director <br /> Lynne Waterman <br /> Veronica Warden <br /> Mary Bradbury <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman John Calahane called the meeting to order at 2:02 p.m. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS--None <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Review of minutes from January 28, 2016 <br /> Motion: Lynne Waterman moved to accept the minutes of January 28, 2016 <br /> as presented, seconded by Mary Bradbury. Vote unanimous 4-0 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Thanks for Giving Awards Ceremony <br /> The Director noted the Thanks for Giving Awards Ceremony will be held on March 10, <br /> 2016 at 11:00 a.m. She said both recipients have been notified. Lynne Waterman will do <br /> the history on the Friends of the Council on Aging and Mary Bradbury will do the history <br /> on Mark Lawrence, The Director stated she has ordered the awards and will take care of <br /> the refreshments. She will also prepare an article for the newspaper, notify Mashpee TV <br /> and do an email blast to the town. Lynne Waterman suggested preparing a flyer to be <br /> distributed at the Senior Center and she could also do an email blast to the seniors thru <br /> Constant Contact. Lynne Waterman suggested preparing a certificate for the recipients. <br /> Activity Report for January <br /> The Director distributed her report for January 2016. She highlighted several of the <br /> meetings she attended. She said she spoke before the Selectmen about stigma and they <br /> endorsed the Governor's"State without Stigma" proclamation which is the first town on <br /> the Cape to endorse the proclamation. The Regional Substance Abuse Coalition will be <br />
