Gail Wilson, Human Services Director <br /> Ebony Steele <br /> Frank Fantasia <br /> Lynne Barbee <br /> Veronica Warden <br /> Mary Bradbury <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman John Cahalane called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS —None <br /> Review of Minutes from August 17, 2017 <br /> Motion: Frank Fantasia moved to approve the August 17, 2017 minutes as <br /> amended, seconded by Lynne Waterman. Vote unanimous 7-0 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Guest Presenter—Cathy Taylor, Director of Services, Cape Organization for Rights <br /> of the Disabled (CORD) <br /> The Director introduced Cathy Taylor, Director of Services, CORD, to the members. <br /> Cathy spoke about CORDS Mobile Food Pantry. She noted the bus was donated by <br /> CCRTA which they wrapped in bright yellow, She said there are 10,000 people on the <br /> Cape with food insecurity and some of these people cannot get to the food pantries for a <br /> number of reasons so they take their bus from town to town from Barnstable to <br /> Provincetown. She said they raise monies thru donations and grants which keep the <br /> program going. <br /> Cathy explained what CORD does in general. They provide independent living services <br /> for people with disabilities. They are a non-profit and their goal is to give people the <br /> knowledge and tools to live as independently as possible. She stated they are planning to <br /> expand their mobile food pantry services to the upper Cape. <br />
