MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to release the covenant for Lot 5 in Winslow Heights <br />Subdivision. Mr. Cummings seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br />The release was signed by Board members. <br />TOWN ROAD TAKING <br />Re -Signature of Town Road Taking Plan of Anthony's Way <br />Mr. Fudala indicated that the road taking had been approved and signed last October but that the Board <br />of Selectmen names were incorrect on the mylar, requiring re -signatures. The Plan was signed by <br />Planning Board members. <br />BOARD ITEMS <br />Old Business <br />Design Review Committee -Mr. Cummings reported that Design Review considered the <br />application for Premier Companies, an auto/collision center to be located at 73 Mercantile Way. The <br />design was accepted. Mr. Fudala reported that the Plan Review meeting was continued after he noted <br />2002 changes in the Zoning Bylaw which did not allow parking at the front of the building. Concern <br />had also been expressed regarding a cemetery that was located adjacent to the property. The request <br />has since been withdrawn. <br />Community Preservation Committee -No update <br />Environmental Oversight Committee -Mr. Cummings reported that the EOC would be <br />supporting a town -wide bylaw banning single use plastic bags for the October Town Meeting, Mr. <br />Cummings also noted that pond water duality was in good shape, though there was algae that should <br />have died off with the cold weather at Shoestring Bay and Mashpee River. Additionally, $42,500 had <br />been approved for a study of the Moonakis River to improve the flushing rate. Mr, Fudala indicated <br />that it was an area that was presently unable to support shellfish due to flushing issues. The <br />Wampanoag Tribe, having received a $350,000 grant, would also be planting oyster reefs during the <br />spring. <br />Historic District Commission -Mr. Fudala indicated that a working group had been formed to <br />develop signage for historic sites and entry into the historic district and planned to request funds from <br />the CPC. <br />MMR Military Civilian Community Council -Update of MMR Joint Land Use <br />Study -No update <br />Report on Status of Greenway Project -Mr. Fudala reported that the CPA voted to support <br />funding $84,000 toward the trail and bridge. The Chair has compiled an application for the <br />Massachusetts Trail Program in an effort to acquire additional funding. Regarding insurance, the <br />Town Agent has agreed to some coverage along the trail based on a license agreement with Mashpee <br />Commons. However, Mashpee Commons has since changed their insurance company so the <br />agreement needs to be reviewed by them. Mr. Hansen inquired whether trails would be closed dusk to <br />dawn to avoid liabilities. Mr. Fudala responded that liabilities were covered 24 hours. A gate will be <br />placed on the Whitings Road dirt road but the Fire Department will have access. <br />Status of parking facilities at 168 Industrial Drive -No update <br />New Business <br />C. Rowley January Billings -A bill was received in the amount of $190 for Southport. <br />MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to pay Mr. Rowley $190 for Southport inspections. <br />Mr. Cummings seconded the motion.
