Zoning Articles [continued <br />Amend Zoning to C-3 Commercial from R-5 Residential <br />The recommended C-3 Commercial from R-5 Residential zoning amendment would apply to the lot <br />on which the former "Flume" restaurant is located, as well as on an adjacent town -owned lot. <br />Mike Mendoza said there is no C-3 in that area. All agreed this should be C-2, not C-3. <br />Mike raised the question why make applicant go through Special Permit; why not do as Plan Review? <br />Joyce noted there are advantages to Town when going for Special Permit. Also it's a way to preserve <br />the character of the community. <br />Catherine Laurent added that there are 3 different zoning locations in Town. Special Permit process <br />gives ability to look at each location and enables Town to impose certain conditions depending on <br />location. <br />Motion: Joyce Mason motioned to recommend that this recommended zoning amendment be <br />changed to C-2. Catherine Laurent seconded the motion; and it was unanimously approved by Plan <br />Review and by Design Review. <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Plan Review: Johce Mason motioned to approve the minutes of the Plan Review meeting of January <br />20, 2015 as presented.
