i <br />Minutes of Combined Meeting of <br />Mashpee Design Review Committee and <br />Mashpee Pian Review Committee <br />Held Tuesday, August 4, 2015 <br />Mashpee Town Hall – Waquoit Meeting Room <br />Design Review Members Present: Joseph Cummings and Jonathan Furbush <br />Plan Review Members Present: <br />Catherine Laurent, DPW Director <br />Michael Mendoza, Building Commissioner <br />Rodney Collins, Town Manager <br />Tom Fudala, Town Planner <br />Scott Carline – Police Department <br />Veronica Warden, Assistant Health Agent <br />Audience: Ryan Bray – Mashpee Enterprise <br />Michael Mendoza called the meeting to order at 10:08 a.m. and apologized that meeting time had <br />been postponed from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. due to a Town emergency situation. <br />29 Echo Road <br />Triple M Management Company, LLC <br />Under Zoning By -Law Sectioon 174-24 J -Special Permit <br />Formal request to construct a 1500 sq. ft. +1- building for <br />Medical Marijuana Treatment Center <br />Representative – Mark Gildea, Attorney <br />Mark Gildea (Attorney), Raul Lizardi-Rivera (Engineer), and Jim Vaccaro (Consultant) appeared. <br />Attorney Gildea presented the Site Plan. <br />• Attorney Gildea stated currently vacant piece of property. Property is 40,910 sq. ft.; Zone is <br />industrial. They are proposing 1500 sq. ft. building. Will be a Morton Building ----all metal, built <br />on slab. <br />• Will have fenced -in area to comply with local and State requirements. <br />• 2 Parking areas—one for employees and one for patients. <br />• Applicant seeking Variance for security booth to be placed at entrance of property. Booth to <br />allow security guard in booth to check people prior to entering building. <br />• Security guard also inside the property. <br />• Not much landscaping on property --local and State laws prohibit trees/bushes on property. <br />• Floor Plans show employee area separate from patient's area. <br />• Attorney Gildea advised no product will be stored on the property overnight; no money left on <br />the property. Product from grow facility in Plymouth, MA. <br />• No one can get on property without required credentials. <br />• Lighting structures provided for security. Attorney Gildea noted regulations require the <br />property be properly illuminated. Also they have security cameras on-site. <br />• Catherine Laurent asked if entrance to the property will be curbed. Response was "yes". <br />• Jonathan Furbush inquired as to how many facilities like this one are on Cape. Attorney <br />Gildea said if approved this will be first one on Cape. Jonathan said then there could be plenty <br />of traffic. <br />
