17 <br />Board of Selectmen <br />Minutes <br />December 18, 2017 <br />Review and Approval of Revised Liquor License Fee Schedule: <br />The Board of Selectmen reviewed the 2018 Liquor License Fee Schedule as revised to include (2) <br />additional license types; a License to Sell Wine at a Farmer's Market $25 and a Farmer Series Pouring <br />Permit, fee proposal is $1,300. It was noted the two additional license types are new state categories <br />imposed by the Alcohol Beverages Control Commission (ABCC). <br />Upon review of the document submitted to the Board of Selectmen from Christine Willander, <br />Administrative Secretary dated December 15, 2017 it was agreed that comparison figures would be <br />further reviewed with respect to the 2018 License Fee Schedule. However, due to the timeline and <br />required submission to the ABCC, the Board of Selectmen took immediate action. <br />Motion made by Selectmen Cahalane to approve the 2018 Liquor License Fee Schedule <br />as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes <br />Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman Gottlieb, yes Opposed, none <br />ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br />(This space is reserved for topics that the Chairman did not reasonably anticipate would be discussed) <br />Acceptance of Deed — Parcel of Land identified on Mashpee Assessor's Map 120 as Parcel <br />58 located at 270 Monomoscoy Road Mashpee, Massachusetts as authorized by Article 10 of the <br />October 2017 Annual Town Meetin <br />Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to place the above referenced agenda topic on the <br />Board of Selectmen's agenda by exercising the emergency meeting provisions of the Open <br />Meeting Law as advised by Town Counsel. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes <br />Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman Gottlieb, yes Opposed, none <br />Emergency would mean a sudden, generally unexpected occurrence or set of circumstances demanding <br />immediate action. Under the OML definition, a vote on the acceptance of the subject land donation <br />would qualify as an emergency, as it was not reasonably anticipated this matter would have been <br />discussed until the deed was received, which was on the afternoon of December 15, 2017. <br />
