A quorum was declared with the <br /> following members present: Richard Halpern, Fran Laporte, Jill Allen, David Harsch and Kevin Shackett. <br /> Also in attendance: Leila Botsford, Executive Director/Board Secretary, Vincent Gault, Maintenance <br /> Superintendent, and Adrienne Danner from Housing Assistance Corporation.. <br /> There was no public comment. The chair, in order to accommodate our guest, skipped to Old Business. <br /> OLDBUSINESS: <br /> Breezy Acres Expansion/Great Cove Communitv Update: Mrs.,Botsford had dispersed Ms. Dann is report <br /> dated June 1 and asked Ms. Danner to provide an update o4n the project. Ms. Danner reviewed with the <br /> board, in detail, the short-fall of funds (hand-outs were also provided to all members at this time) which <br /> amounted to about $360,600 about three weeks ago. Since then, there has been progress made in <br /> minimizing the gap. The General Contractor has been re-bid and bids are to be opened on Thursday, <br /> June 21. Mrs. Botsford and Ms. Danner went to a meeting with Town Manager Joyce Mason, Fire Chief <br /> George Baker, and others to discuss how the cost of the sprinkler system can be reduced. Some good <br /> ideas for reducing costs ca.me out of that meeting, and Chief Baker is discussing those with the architect. <br /> Som-e additional funding has been requested, and received, from Barnstable HOME funds, and we are <br /> hoping DHCD will offer some, as well.
