The expected cost of the project is$80,000. The est ate <br /> would include eng eering,permitting and fllln fees. <br /> Included in the Selectmen's informational packet was correspondence from the <br /> Conservation Agent dated September 2 , 2012 with respect to this regard. <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the proposed disposal site located on Town <br /> propel in the Ma tepee River woodlands area. Approval Of the site including <br /> site preparation and restoration is re ulred by the Waterways Comrmssion, <br /> Conservation Concession, Board of Selectmen and Barnstable County Dredge <br /> department. <br /> It was disclosed the parcel was purchased ug state land bank funds(Self Delp <br /> Grant). Permission to use land bank funded conservation parcels require <br /> autboriation fr6m the Mass General Coutt approval of the Secretary of <br /> Environmental Affairs, and any authorization a required by the provisions of <br /> MGL Chapter 41, §15A. <br /> The Conservation Agent wrote in his memorandum that"the comnussion would <br /> want to have assurances that the dredge spoils be free of contaminants,and that <br /> the salty content of the spoils would not adversely affect existing soil regimes <br /> and groundwater quality of the-deposition site nor would be deposition of dredge <br /> po is prevent the establishment of native vegetation as mitigation for the <br /> disturbance o the proposed site." <br /> As discussion continued, several mandates of the Self Help Grant were defined. <br /> It was noted the grant was acquired M' 1995. The Board of Selectmen directed the <br /> Waterways Commission Clair to finther review this matter with the Conservation <br /> Comnussion to obtain a vote of support. It was agreed that Town Counsel would <br /> be i cluded in full discussions. The matter was tabled at this time. <br />
