The <br /> vehicle has 103,000 miles and 's used daily by DPW personnel, It would <br /> e used as a trade-in to offset the purchase of a new vehicle or be <br /> transferred to another department for use. <br /> The purchase of a new sweeper is proposed for FYo . It was initially <br /> presented as a capital improvement need in fiscal year 2002. The current <br /> sweeper is ten years old and now requires additional maintenance. It is <br /> used by the DPW throughout the year to sweep public roads and Town <br /> parking lots. A three-year lease purchase is proposed. <br /> The tow-bund air compressor, a previous capital request may be <br /> purchased by the DPW for a cost less than $25,000. Funds would cleave <br /> from operational expenses. <br /> The IW has-also.proposed to purchase a woodbrush chipper for road <br /> and land clearing projects. The existing 1996 chipper would be retained <br /> or emergency service. <br /> The expansion of Heritage Farb to construct additional playing facilities <br /> including fields, walking paths and parking lots is part of a multi-year <br /> program to expand the recreational facilities. Detailed design plans are <br /> estimated to cost$18,000 to $20,000. <br />
