January 2000 <br /> Page 9. <br /> MACC Annual Meeting: schedule of workshops to be provided at the <br /> meeting on January loth. <br /> Johns Pond Estates: A group from the Association is scheduled on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda of 24 January. They are bringing up issues that will <br /> involve the Commission's responsibilities. They want to dredge out the canal <br /> and in other parts ofthe Pored. They will also be bringing up the water <br /> levels. They want to know the appropriate use 6f the gates and who has the <br /> right to raise and lower Pond levels. <br /> Am ri or s: A thank you letter to be written for the clean-up work they <br /> slid. <br /> Recreation Regulation: There is in the Bylaw, under hone rule, a <br /> provision that it can be stricter than the Act but must be spelled out. <br /> Recreation is one of the regs. ommittee is needed to put this together. <br /> There are a couple of people coming in because they attached let' ski <br /> attachments to floats making them above that which is allowed. Public <br /> access rights have to be considered. <br /> The Chair suggested Perry Ellis be-involved. Mr. Green agreed to serve also. <br /> The Chair stated he was not sure.the Commission is the right body to address <br /> this issue. <br /> Mrs. Moore will serve on this subcommittee also. <br /> Financial request: Funding was requested to purchase books and <br /> thermometers. volunteers with Natural Resource backgrounds will be <br /> working on Conservation lands. <br /> C <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to authorize the expenditure of up to <br /> $250. Unanimous vote. <br /> bion Request: Request received from Atty. Carter. They have put the <br /> playhouse back and removed vegetation. An Enforcement order will require <br /> an Amended order and correct plan. Because there. has been more than one <br /> violation, Mr. Sherman advised he put a stop on the dock project. Atty. <br /> Carter is requesting that they be allowed to start work on the dock. Mr. <br /> Sherman recommended not allowing thein to start until submission of the <br /> request for Amended Order with plan and a paid contract with a landscaper <br /> paid to do the work according to that plan and a letter acknowledging that <br /> L __ -. <br />
