HUMAN SERVICE—PUBLIC SESSION <br /> NOVEMBER 16, 2017—2:00 P.M. <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL— OCKWAY MEETING ROOM <br /> Committee Members Present: Also Present: <br /> Lynne Waterman Gail Wilson, Herman Services Director <br /> Ebony Steele <br /> Frank Fantasia <br /> Lynne Barbee <br /> Members Absent: <br /> John Cahalane <br /> Veronica Warden <br /> Mary Bradbury <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Acting Chairman Lynne Waterman called the meeting to order at 2:16 p.m. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS —None <br /> Review of Minutes from October 19,2017 <br /> Motion: Frank Fantasia moved to approve the October 19, 2017 minutes as <br /> amended, seconded by Ebony Steele. Vote unanimous 4-0 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion of Human Services Contract Funding <br /> At the last Human Services Committee meeting, there was discussion about Falmouth <br /> Human Services restructuring their contracts to an RFP model. The idea of restructuring <br /> the Contracts was mentioned at the budget meeting. Since the Chair wasn't in <br /> attendance, the members decided to table the discussion until the December 21 meeting. <br /> Lynne Barbee suggested doing site visits with the agencies under contract to observe <br /> their operations. She suggested coordinating the visits with other members who are <br /> interested. Following a discussion, it was agreed to do both site visits and to continue to <br /> have the agencies come into the Human Services Committee. The Director said she <br /> could come up with the guidance as to who is the contact person, what is the history, and <br /> what to look at. <br /> Update on the Mashpee Substance Use Task Force <br />
