page 3. <br /> j. <br /> REGISTRATIOM <br /> All farm animals and poultry shall be registered with the Board of Health. <br /> The total number of farm animals on the property shall not exceed the <br /> number indicated on the Permit. Proof shall be provided that all horses <br /> have been vaccinated annually against Tetanus and Eastern Encephalitis. <br /> Persons engaged in the business of operating a commercial riding school <br /> or stable shall first obtain a license from the Commissioner of the <br /> Department of Food and Agriculture (M.G.L. 128:2B) prior to applying <br /> to the Board of Health for a local permit. <br /> EXEMTIONS: <br /> Ten or fewer domestic fowl ( except roosters) shall be exempt from the <br /> permit process. A coop and adequate enclosure is, however, required. <br /> INSPECTION: <br /> Inspections will be conducted at least annually and shall be expected <br /> during reasonable hours. The Board of Health, its Agent or the Animal <br /> Inspector or his Assistant shall conduct the inspections. Failure to <br /> correct cited violations may result in the revocation of the permit. <br /> VARIANCES: <br /> Upon written request, the Board of Health, may vary the applicability of <br /> one or more of these regulations, if the Board finds that the regulation(s) <br /> causes undue hardship and that the granting of the variance(s) would not. <br /> be detrimental to the public health. All variances granted shall be in <br /> writing and shall be subject to additional conditions as the Board of <br /> Health may deem necessary. <br /> SEVERABILITY: <br /> In the event any of these regulations shall be deemed invalid, any such <br /> regulation(s) shall be severed from the others which shall remain in <br /> full force and effect. <br /> PENALTIES: <br /> Any _person, agent or firm who is found in violation of these regulations. <br /> may be punished by a fine of not more than $200.00 per day the violation(s) <br /> continue. - <br /> These regulations shall become effective on the date following publication. <br /> GEORGE R.
