w
J '
f
Mr. Harrington stated that that was correct. The next meeting would b
02,26,04 and it would be the thirty days.
Mr. Ball asked if he should be sent a reminder.
Mr. Harrington stated that if the board so voted on it tonight they could
say that as of 02.26.04 fines would be issued for each violation.
Mr. Santos felt that this had been going on for five years already. He
envisioned that the owner would just be coating back here to discuss the
fines. He felt that the board should tell him that at the next meeting his
thirty days would be up, He has to cone up with a plan to address the
conditions of the house or the dwelling would be condemned.
Mr. Farrington added that he did not give the homeowner notice and _..
there was no one in the home. The board has to vote on it to condemn
the home. He had already written right on the inspection report "dwelling
unfit for human habitation." He made that calf when he was there. He
was hoping that he would get the support from the building department.
But, that didn't happen.
1r. Santos clarified that when Mr. Harrington went out to inspect the
people were there.
II![[r. Harrington stated that the people were moving out.
Mr. Santos asked him if they let him go in the hone,,
Mr. Harrington responded that they dict let him go in.
Mr. Santos stated that Mr. Harrington was well within the lawn.
Mr. Harrington continued that all of the violations that he noted on the
report were listed as "imminent health hazards to impair tete occupants."
That is what gave the health agents and the board members the right to
come home.
Mr. Santos asked if they had to wait the thirty days.
[r. Harrington told them that they didn't have to wait the30 days. They
could wait the 30 days if they were going to have him make the repairs. if
they wanted'to condemn the home, they could notify him and go down
and post it.
