Budget Update (1997) : Joanne explained that Bob Whri tenour <br /> and Diane Ro p e lmeyer visited the Archives with a represen- <br /> tative <br /> epresen- <br /> tative from the Finance Comm. two weeps ago. Joanne Feels <br /> that we' should have no dif f iculty receiving our lev el-funded <br /> budget. <br /> The H. C. had also presented their problems with the building <br /> with Mr. Whri tenour. Ray Martini explained that when the <br /> Town Hall c onveftd to gas heating, a gas lime will be run <br /> to the Archives Building. So, hopefully the building will <br /> also convert to gas. <br /> Repairs to the outside of .the building: The Town Hall has <br /> a general maintencance budget. Hopefully we will have jobs <br /> such as cleaning the gutters , etc. completed in the next <br /> fiscal y ar. <br /> Ray Martini submitted a budget item to install a fine alarm <br /> system in the Archives Building. <br /> Ater the Town Hall has been renovated, 'the H. 'C. would hope <br /> to be able to begin to tale over the downstairs in the <br /> Archives Building, and convert it into an exhibit center, <br /> which will mean we will need monies for renovations and' re- <br /> pairs. <br /> Joanne reported that our burgular alarm system has gone off . <br /> sp ,.ontaneou s ly a duple of times. <br /> IV OLD BUSINESS : <br /> A. Review of 'Policy for use of Archives" : Joanne has mailed <br /> copies of draft of- policy for use of the Archives to the <br /> members for their' review. Joanne explained, so that we may <br /> be consi'stent in our manner of operation, 'he commissioners <br /> and volunteers will have to adhere to the sante guidelines. <br /> We have all visit Ed other research places, and they are all <br /> very strict in their policies <br />
