A Memo dated 10/17/98 - from Joanne Ferragamo , Chair-man to <br /> Mashpee Historical Commission informing that Joanne will <br /> step down as chairman of the commission-. Due to outside <br /> es o.nsibi3.itie , Joanne explained , she w.a unable to carry <br /> "+ <br /> out the duties of this position. Joanne i.l.l , however It con- <br /> , tinue to serve on the commisao . <br /> Frani Hicks moved that they accept Joanne' s resignation as <br /> Chair with regrets . Gordon Peters seconded . All in favor. <br /> So moved . <br /> Discussion relative to the nomination of a new chairman . <br /> It was . decided that the members would give this issue <br /> some thought , and discuss the matter further at the vem- <br /> br meeting . <br /> V OTHER BUS IDES <br /> Jim stated tht ' over the last little while the H. C. has <br /> acquired various items that appeared important to himb <br /> He specified, for instance, the tax assessor ' s records <br /> which go back to the 1870' s that had been. presented to <br /> the H.% Co, by Ann Shaw. Jim suggested that we think about <br /> something in which to house these records and other im. <br /> portant records . Jim- also suggested that the really - im- <br /> portant records should be stored in fireproof file cabinets , <br /> The ephemera ,could be filed in non--fireproof file cabinets , <br /> and 'would receive just about the same amount of protection. <br /> Jim suggested that they think about getting another file <br /> cabinet , which does not necessarily have to be a new one. <br /> Rosemary suggested that some of the collections they have <br /> received , she wondered .if each one of the members should <br /> take 'on as a project ; to inventory what i contained in <br /> each of the files , x�l <br /> nd have a reference that they wo <br />
