Phil asked permission to receive the papers , <br /> THE M S PEE MESSENGER, and THE ENTERPRISE. Rosemary explained <br /> that all of this material is now on microfilm, but unless it i <br /> indexed , we would not have convenient access to the information. <br /> It is very convenient to have clippings available in the file. <br /> Gordon suggested that THE ENTERPRISE right be willing to send <br /> a subscription to their newspaper to the Historic Commission <br /> free of charge . That is something the H. C . will follow up on . <br /> Jiro discussed the elimination of all standard paper clips and <br /> staples for use in the Archives , with the exception of stainless <br /> steel staples . Jim demonstrated the use of plastic paper clips <br /> which were archival materials . <br /> ,Jim suggested that in executing the various projects , they keep <br /> peach other informed . _-,."Rosemary agreed ; she felt with new chair- <br /> `, �manship , that they will all have to work very hard to coordinate <br /> 4+" their efforts , and to work together to keep each other informed <br /> as to what is going on . <br /> Gordon explained that he had had a problem in the file with photos . <br /> We were going to have to make a decision as to how to proceed . <br /> He explained that he had been working with Ernestine Gray on this <br /> project , and they do --not seem to be making any progress . He felt <br /> there must be a way of putting identifying permanent markings on <br /> these photos . what are the other Historic Societies doing? <br /> Rosemary suggested $ that was a project they could ask Joanne to <br /> work on since she will be dealing with all the other historic <br /> societies . <br /> Phil volunteered to -heck--with . the Falmouth 'Histori a.I - Society , <br /> and., with ith Charlotte Price, Archivist , - <br /> Rosemary advised that the public - is not allowed to handle our <br /> photo graphs . Any time our photo drawers are, open one member of <br /> the commission is requ-ired to sit with the researcher or student , <br /> and wake certain everything gets returned to the proper place . <br /> Jinn discussed 'indexing the photographs . <br /> Rosemary suggested that Phil ask Charlotte Price for the most <br /> up-to-date information relative to how photographs should be <br /> stored and identified , or whom she recommended we contact . <br />
