Anniversary : Ann. has discovered that on March 3 , 19 69 , 30 years ago , the . Historical Commission was designated at- Town Meeting .as the Mashpee Historical Commis- sion . In discussing this with Mr. Whritenour , Ann shared this informa-tion with him and explained that she planned to discuss with the commission a celebration of the 30 years , and he was in favor of it . Ann felt this was a grew opportunity for the H. C. to have some publi.city. What Ann had in mind was a Mashpee History Week in' honor of. . their 30 years ; to keep the A.rc.hies open half days during than week. .e would lice to have. past historical commis ion members invited to come in- and see what h.as been done with the Archives , also past chairmen. ' In.. the schools fourth grade is the year they learn local. histo'r'y , Ann thought .it would be relevant to invite fourth grade classes and rial program* Also � have Nor . Whritenour give them a mini pictoi come in. and talk about towngovernment * Ann .explained they had adequate funds in their d.ona'ti n account From this account , they could. have bookmarks printed to celebrate 3 Years of our Historical. omission, with the hours of the Archive's ,, and the names of the members . -Ann would like these distributed to the schools ,and townspeople who wanted them. The celebration could culminate with a visit from the 'Town Hall employees --and refr0ashments would be catered . . Sim Moroney moved that the H. C . ,appropr.iate. aspecified amount , not to exceed for an appropriate H. C. 30th Anniversary celebration during the Mashpee- 30thAnniversary week.. A11 in favor. So moved .
