Town Of Mashpee jlistorical Commission <br /> 3 'SA <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> y Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> Ou Telephone - (508) 539-1438 <br /> Fax - (508) 539-2774 <br /> MASHPEE HISTORICAL COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of Meeting - October 29, 2007 <br /> The Town of Mashpee Historical Commission meeting was called to order at the <br /> Archives Building at 10:10AM on Monday, October 29, 2007. Chairperson, Lee Gurney <br /> presided. <br /> Commissioners Present: Rosemary Burns, Lee Gurney, Frank Lord, Gordon Peters and <br /> Gail Slattery. <br /> Commissioners Absent: Sunny Merritt. <br /> Lee moved that we accept the Minutes of the September 10th meeting, as corrected, <br /> and her motion was approved. <br /> Our Budget status for 2008 fiscal year is good. We have spent a small amount of our <br /> budget for office supplies and a few books have been acquired. <br /> Under Administration, we have completed written procedures revised on setting up <br /> Commission meetings. <br /> Gail Slattery agreed to volunteer as the Commission representative on the CPA <br /> Committee, and Lee Gurney volunteered for the Mashpee Historic District Commission. <br /> Both the CPA funds and the funds for the Mashpee's Historic District were approved at <br /> the fall Town Meeting on October 15th. <br /> Gail Slattery, assisted by Tom Mayo of the Planning Department, prepared a new <br /> pictorial display which focused on the Historic District which is on display at the <br /> Mashpee Post Office. She is planning to expand the exhibit and add some interesting . <br /> write-ups on some of the historic places within the district. <br /> Members of the Mashpee Historical Commission, Rosemary Burns and Frank Lord <br /> made presentations to members of the Life After 55 Club over at Windchime on October <br /> 25th. <br />
