r <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Adoption of Affirmative Acton PoMrs. Botsford supplied the board with a drafted <br /> policy adopted directly from the regulations requiring said policy. After a short <br /> discussion, a notion was made by Mr. Peoples and seconded by Ms. Orlando t <br /> adopt the Affirmative Action Policy as presented, The motion carried$ <br /> Adoption of new MRVP Income Lirnts: Mrs, Botsford supplied the board with the new <br /> MRVP Income limits issued by the Department of Housing & Community er elopment <br /> effective April 1, 2000. After a short discussion, a motion was made by Mr. <br /> Peoples and seconded by Ms. Orlando to adopt the new MRVP Income Limits <br /> for all bedroom tizes effective April 1, 2000, The notion carried* <br /> Executive Director Annual,Evaluation; Mrs. Botsford explained that her two year <br /> anniversary of employment has passed and supplied the board with the Executive <br /> [arrector Evaluation forms. After a brief discussion, it was decided that a sub-committee <br /> be formed to complete the evaluation. Ms. Williams & Ms, Finton volunteered to form <br /> the committee. Mrs. Botsford stated that her personal Boars for the corning year are to <br /> finish the parking lot expansion,, to create a computer station for residents, and to <br /> design a web-site for the housing authority. <br /> OTHER BUSI ESS: Mrs. Botsford reported that she had just received a notice from <br /> DHCD requiring that the housing authority submit a copy of a signatory authorization <br /> form with a vote by all members of the Board. She explained that this authorizes the <br /> designated person to sign all contracts on behalf of the authority. After a short <br /> discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Peoples and seconded by Ms. Orlando to <br /> approve Mrs, Botsford as the authorized signatory for the authority. The <br /> motion carried. <br /> Ms. Orlando was recognized, at which time she announced her resignation from the <br /> board, effective next month, when the replacement for Ms. Younger is sworn in. Mrs. <br /> Botsford stated that she would speak with the Town clerk to clarify the process for the <br /> replacement of Ms. Orlando. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS/CORRESPONDENCE: Mrs. Botsford reported that she had <br /> received correspondence from DHCD notifying us that the MRVP voucher amounts have <br /> been increased as follows: for one and two bedrooms .00, for three bedrooms <br /> $30.00 and for four bedrooms $40,00 effective on June 1, Mrs, Botsford explained that <br /> the MRVP project based contract rents were, being increased by the same amounts. <br /> The housing authority's portion will go up, therefore the tenant's portion will stag the <br /> same. Another notice from DHCD advised all housing authorities that ceiling rents are <br /> being done away with for the MVP and AVP programs. This means that there is no <br /> longer a limit on the total amount of rent the landlord can charge to people on these <br /> programs. Mrs. Botsford also reported that she had received a correspondence from <br /> the Town of Mashpee asking the housing authority to join in their pledge to maintain a <br />
