CPA (Community Preservation Act update/Report from liaison: Mr. Halpern was absent so there was no
report from him. Mrs. Botsford stated that she has prepared 12 copies of the applications for CPA
funding to resubmit for Pleases I, II, and III of the Housing Assistance Program. Ms. Carron volunteered
to deliver the applications to the CPA.
COMMUNICATIONS/CORRESPONDENCE: None that hasn't already been discussed.
(00
The nest regular meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November , 2007 at 5:30 PIS. A motion was
made by Ms. Garron and seconded by Mr. Laporte to adjourn. The notion carried. The
meeting was adjourned at :10 P.M
Respectfully submitted,
1' 2.
Leila Botsford, secretary
Executive Director
Attachment A:
Executive Director's Report
For the monthof July, August and September 2007
Program update:
Homeyer VillageL667: we had all rents paid in full and we were at 100% occupancy, until the end of
September when a resident passed away. The family is in the process of cleaning out the unit. This
tenant was a very heavy smoker and legally blind. we expect to have to do quite a bit of work in the
unit, anti will probably have to replace the carpeting. As I've done with other units that have needed
flooring replacement, I plan on replacing the carpet with VCT flooring. I will keep you posted on this unit
turnover.
Breezy Acre _ We had all rents paid in full and we are at 100% occupancy.
Mi c.:
0 Following my accident, since the beginning of August I've been working from home via the
Internet. I have been able to accomplish about 85-90% of ray work this way and it's been
working out well. All of my work is up to date: all monthly reports have been filed, the yearend
reports have been filed, all bills are being paid on a weekly basis, landlord payments have gone
out on time, payrolf taxes have been filed, applications are bung processed, recertifications have
been done, bank account reconciliations have been done, the septic failure at Breezy Acres has
been dealt with DHD has approved emergency funding for the replacement of the system and
I've contracted with A&B C:anco to do the work), the septic at Homeyer Village was excavated to
remove the roots binding up the system and it has been successfully pumped, and I've rept up
with miscellaneous correspondence. The only glitch that I've come across is that Alice, m
assistant, deposited some rent checks to the wrong account in August. when I discovered it in
September I had to transfer money between accounts to correct this mistake. I've advised Torn
Joy of it, so that he can correctly account for it in his financial reports.
0 After my accident, people from Peabody Properties carne in and completely tools over Asher's
Path site. The last I heard, there were only a few vacancies left at the site. Vincent is splitting his
time between Asher's Path, Homeyer Village and Breezy Acres.
• My Spectrum LIHT (Low Income Housing Tax credit)training has been rescheduled for
December 11 and 12 in Providence, FSI.
-4-
