(New Business, cont'd) <br /> Two new contracts will be drawn up and submitted within two weeks. The VIVA will deliver the <br /> contracts by 1/19/12. The contracts will be available for review by the Human Services <br /> Committee at the next meeting, <br /> 6. committee Reorganization <br /> The committee members agreed that it would be advisable to reorganize <br /> the committee officers on a <br /> yearly basis. Gail Wilson stated that she will work with Bruce Btello to update the committee goals <br /> and objectives for the Human Services website. <br /> Jim Long made a motion that Veronica Warden appoint a nominating committee to report back to the <br /> committee at the May 18, 2012 meeting, with a slate of officers for the coming year, commencing in <br /> July, 2012. Janice Walford seconded the motion. The notion was unanimous) approved. <br /> { <br /> Mary Scanlan and Elinor Glener were appointed to serge on the nominating g committee, <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> 1, Upper cape Helping Hands Food Pantry Update. Veronica Warden en reported on the current <br /> status of the Upper cape Helping Hands Food Pantry, located on cape Drive and managedLinda <br /> b Li = <br /> Carroll. s. Warden stated that Linda Carroll has not applied for non-profit status for the Food cod Pa ntry: <br /> thus making the facility a for-profit business. Linda Carrollaid the Retail Food Establishment,Hent fee of <br /> `l00, but has not yet applied for non-profit status. Jim Long pointed out that individuals donating to <br /> the food pantry will not be eligible for a tax deduction. <br /> . Big Brothers & Big sisters of Cape cod. Gail Wilson on a reported meeting g with Hadley Luddy, <br /> the Executive Director of the Big gathers & Big Sisters of Cape cod. Ms. LuddY is interested in <br /> working with Mashpee town employees to become involved with the Bi Brothers Big g ,stars <br /> program. The program will not be a Town-sponsored program, but rather a volunteer opportunity pp nity for <br /> Town employees. Gail Wilson met with the Mashpee Town Manager and Assistant Town <br /> whoa g Manager, <br /> greed to meet with Ms. Luddy in two weeps to discuss the details of the proposed coordinated <br /> effort. <br /> . Habitat for Humanity. glary Scanlan reported that the Habitat for Humanityhas s plans to build two <br /> new houses in Mashpee in 2012. A notice will be coming out announcing that applications for the . <br /> new houses are open. <br /> 4. Committee Meeting Agenda. Gail Wilson stated that the recording secretary will forward a draft <br /> of the meeting agenda for the next meeting a week in advance, for input by committee 'members.
