There was discussion regarding <br /> the original sale of the property and Orenda's interest in purchasing it, however, that Article failed. <br /> Mr. Baker made a motion that the Board of Selectmen remove the Conservation Commission Article <br /> for that property from the Warrant and put it up for market bids with an Article 97 restriction on it so <br /> that it could be sold to the highest bidder with an Article 97 restriction in place. There was no second <br /> since members planned to abstain from voting. <br /> Mr. York inquired about Article 97 and Mr. Baker responded that land was placed in open space and <br /> Article 97 prevented removal from open space without a vote from the town or legislation. It was <br /> noted that there could be no development of the property. There was discussion regarding the benefits <br /> of Orenda managing the land. <br /> Water Quality Monitoring <br /> The Chair inquired about the $8,400 UMA Dartmouth water duality monitoring that appears on the <br /> Special Town Meeting, Mr. York responded that the monitoring was the nitrogen water duality <br /> monitoring which was required by the DEP for the TMDL. Mr. York further stated that the TMDL <br /> required the monitoring of nitrogen but that the technical requirements have not yet been provided for <br /> the monitoring. There was additional discussion about point source control. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> MEETING ADJOURNMENT <br /> Mr. Baker made a motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded.
