MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEE'T'ING - NOVEMBER , 2000 PAGE <br /> 8.1.1 _TermSubstitute. Teachers - Mr. Fluery <br /> recommended increasing the long-term substitute teachers' pay <br /> as follows: Any certified or certifiable teacher who teaches 11+ <br /> consecutive days in the same position would earn $164.8' (Unit <br /> A, Step 1, Track 1) per diem. For a non-certified teacher who <br /> teaches 11+ consecutive days in the same position, the per diem <br /> is $125.00. <br /> The new rate of pay would be retroactive to September 2000. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Cool, seconded by Mrs. Lynch, to approve <br /> the Superintendent's recommendation as outlined above. <br /> NOTE: Unanimou <br /> 8.2 Food Service Update - Mr. Fluery commended Mr. Bob <br /> Gaboury, the new Food Service Director for Chartwells. Mr. <br /> F'luery noted the Quashnet School cafeteria is back at full staff. <br /> Mr. McCown discussed the lunch report - The Program Balance <br /> is $44,605.04 as of September- 2000. <br /> Mrs. Mills questioned if the lunehroorn monitors are still working <br /> as both school employees and Chart yells employees. Mr. <br /> McCown will review the current contract for this answer. <br /> Mrs. Lopez expressed concern over the ownership of the Trending <br /> machines at the high school. Mr. Bron will investigate. <br /> .3 Facilities Report - School Facilities Supervisor Don Cook <br /> reported the following for November: <br /> Coombs School: <br /> I. Two 8'x20' outside storage containers were delivered to <br /> resolve the lack of storage within the school. items <br /> obstructing emergency egress were immediately removed <br /> from the school and stored in one unit. The remaining <br /> items will be sorted and stored in the near- future. <br /> 2. Blinds have been order to replace the fabric curtains in <br /> the central office and common areas. <br /> 3. An RFP for design services to improve the parking yeas <br /> and walkways is being prepared. <br /> . A new burglar ala= system was installed. <br />
