Fire Station Building Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> .lune 15, 199 <br /> FIRE STATION PROJECTaDATE: <br /> Selectman Reveille, Selectman Marsters and Robert Whrite our,Executive <br /> Secretary attended the meeting to review the Fire and Rescue Station project <br /> with members of the Fire Station Building Committee and Project Architect, <br /> Tadgh Sweeney, of Donham & Sweeney, Inc. of Cam e. <br /> Mr. Vaccaro indicated that he attended the Seleetr en"s Meeting <br /> last week with Chief Baler to discuss estimated cost scenanVos relative <br /> to the renovation oft the mala Fire and Rescue Station, and related future <br /> sub-station to be located in South Mashpee. <br /> Cost estimates to expand the existing main station and build a smaller <br /> satellite station have been estimated to cost $4.1 million respectively. <br /> The budget estimate to renovate the existing station is approximately million. <br /> The basement option is estimated to cost an additional $250,000, The <br /> construction of a sub-station is estimated to cost 'l.I million. <br /> Funds to address landscape, and the relocation of the entrance road are not <br /> contained in the budget estimate. Mr. Vaccaro indicated that Mashpee Commons <br /> s <br /> is expected to relocate and re-pave Job's Fishing Road for proper aliment. <br /> The interior rotary should be reconfigured for easy access, and to prevent <br /> interference with public safety vehicles. It was noted that the future Boys and <br /> Girls Club may also access their site from the Route 151 site location. <br /> The first preference of the committee is to renovate the existing main station <br /> informed Chairman Vaccaro.
