`.r <br /> Fire Station Boding Committee <br /> 1ntes 3 <br /> June 15, 1998 <br /> EM STA I N PROJECT,L P ATE: <br /> Mr. Vaccaro indicated that the schematic design of the building was <br /> re-designed by the architect, and reduced from 18,500 to 16,500 <br /> square feet. The feasibility analysis of November of 1996 recommended <br /> a station containing 20,,337 square feet. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to funding a project of this magnitude. <br /> mr. whritenour presented an analysis of debt outside 2 112 in addition to <br /> an analysis of the net total debt service of the Town of Mashpee from <br /> 1998 to 2006. (enclosed) <br /> Mr. Whr'tenour indicated that the timing of the project is good from the <br /> standpoint of the debt structure for the Town_ Debt to be retired by the <br /> year 2000 includes; the Coombs School,Middle School roofproject, land <br /> purchases, water bonds and the transfer station. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to obtaining site elevations togive a more <br /> definitive cost estimate to the intended project scope. The committee discussed <br /> the use of an independent third party and/or second cost estimator. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mason to authorize Donham & Sweeney t <br /> obtain site elevations within the scope of services, and forward the <br /> site elevations and related schematics to A. I. Fogarty & Associates, Inc. <br /> construction cost consultants for additional review. The committee <br /> will make a determination at the next scheduled meeting regarding the <br /> selection of a second cost estimator/and or independent gird party to <br /> review construction cost estimates. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Thomas. <br /> Unanimous. -o. <br /> Mr..
