y, 'r <br /> Fire Station Building Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> July 20, 2000 <br /> The Wallace Floyd Desi gp Group Ammann h.itney: (continued) <br /> The Fire Station Building Committee related concern, and requested that <br /> plans for the overall project be further reviewed to ensure that there are no <br /> additional problems. The Committee stated that there is no additional <br /> tolerance on the job, and suggested the Architect be caittio us as the project <br /> proceeds forward. <br /> When asked if an additional structural engineering firm should review the <br /> work of Ammann Whitney, the Architect assured that Committee that <br /> the firm is reputable. <br /> Again, the applicable parties agreed that this was an embarrassing <br /> situation that should not have happened. They stated that they will do <br /> hat is necessary to move forward to correct the problem. Amann <br /> Whitney stated that they detected the problem and brought it to the <br /> attention of the Committee. The Fire Chief noted that they are ethically <br /> bound to report the design flava. <br /> mmann & Whitney stated that they are confident to develop an <br /> appropriate solution, and Va*lI work with the Town to find out which <br /> solution will work hest. The Architect added that they are very serious <br /> about cost control and will pay particular attention to the limitation of the <br /> budget. <br /> Next Scheduled 1leetin : <br /> Thursday, July 27, 2000— 1:00 p.m. @ Mashpee Fire& Rescue Station <br /> Other Business: <br /> The Union Steward will be requested to recommend an alternate member <br /> of the. ire Station Building Committee to the Selectmen for consideration. <br /> In addition,there is presently one vacancy.
