2 <br /> Fire Station Building Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> August 22, 2001 <br /> Phase 11 Authorization-Telephone Issues: <br /> Outstanding phone requirements - Installation of telephone jacks. <br /> Motion made by Mr..Wezniak to approve a sum not to exceed <br /> $300 for Phase H work associated. o telephone �uarements. <br /> Motion seconded by Dr. Pettl. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> Discussion relative to.Project Co in ene : <br /> The Cornnittee discussed the contingency balance reflected In the general <br /> accounting report of August 10, 2001. Additional work and pending <br /> change orders were considered. <br /> Memorandum for the Clerk of the Worts: <br /> Mr, Virgilio brought forth the following issues to the Committee: <br /> AS halt: <br /> 'Me Director of Public Forks will be consulted with respect to the general <br /> installation of asphalt to support Fire Department vehicles and to correct <br /> the present grade problem. Temporary asphalt work 'I's anticipated in-order <br /> to prepare for the final coat of asphalt. The Committee.deemed asphalt <br /> ptching an unacceptable site condition. <br /> It is the assumption of the Department of public Works to provide the site <br /> work intended for the installation of asphalt upon completion of the <br /> apparatus garage door bays. Mr. Taylor, Director of Public Works wih be <br /> requested to meet with representatives of Lawrence-Lynch,the low bidder <br /> for the town to discuss and schedule the intended site-work. <br /> It was noted that.the Department-of Public Works would also assist with <br /> general landscaping functions related to the newly constructed building. <br />
