We are concerned that the following types <br /> of library service will he affected if staffing is minimal: <br /> Prompt Service <br /> Reader's Advisory <br /> InterLibrary Loans <br /> Children's Programming <br /> Issuing new Library Cards <br /> Cataloging & Processing of Materials <br /> Repair/replacement of damaged items <br /> Routine Maintenance & Troubleshooting Computer Issues <br /> Collection Development <br /> Professional Development <br /> -eve value our vola-nteers, however just as volunteers do not replace employees in the Assessor's <br /> Office, Accounting, Personnel or the Town Clerk's office they should not in the Library. <br /> - The Director, Children's Librarian, Technical Services Librarian have Master degrees with <br /> considerable professional development, Circulation Staff have years of experience and training in <br /> their positions. <br /> -volunteers are not capable of providing Reference work, Reader's Advisory, Technical Services. <br />
