The sequences would e <br /> In FY94, the School Department initially received <br /> $5,558,000 with the understanding that the School <br /> Department would receive at least what was in the <br /> Educational Improvement grant of FY9 (bottom line <br /> total would be $184 , 000) . If the School Department had <br /> received the $104,000 and spent $120,00 of it leaving <br /> difference of $64,000 which, if it had done into the <br /> general fund, the School Department could have asked <br /> for the money already spent. Mrs. Iunivan said that a <br /> '"gentleman's. agreement' had been made the afternoon of <br /> October Town Meeting and the Finance Committee <br /> 1elched' on it, therefore, give the School Department <br /> the money already spent because we had to get an <br /> Assistant Principal, we had to get a D.A.R. . Officer, <br /> we had to get a Grade 1 teacher', and we had to get <br /> kindergarten teacher. " She suggested explaining to the <br /> townspeople how much money has been returned by the <br /> School Department of the past four years. <br /> Discussion then followed regarding strategy to be used <br /> for FY95 budget joint meeting with the School Councils <br /> on April 11th, i.e, , support of additional $569,000. <br /> If the School Department is given $200,000 from the <br /> Falmouth High School tuition account, then that will <br /> raise the budget recommendation to $6,307 ,000 and if <br /> given another $200, 000 for increased enrollments, then <br /> the total would be $6,507, 000. <br /> Xi .
