4 a i A M SHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING i APRIL 6. 1994 PAGE Last Day of School, June 24, 1394 - Dr. DeMoura explained there were four show days during the 1993-1994 school year, therefore the last day of school will be Friday, June 24, 1994 and he recommended approval of same. Motion made by Firs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Consalvi, to approve recommendation. VOTE: Unanimous 7 .4 Graduation Day, June 23, 1994 - Dr. DeMoura also recommended June , 1994 t eighth grade graduation. Motion made by Mr. Consalvi, seconded by Mrs. Mills, t approve recommendation. VOTE: Unanimous viii. . 1 sub -Committee Reports Committee Reports 8. 1 . 1 Negotiations - To be discussed in executive session. . 1.2 high School Committee - Dr* Petti reported on the public hearing on March 28, 1994 regarding the high school educational specifications. Educational. Consultant Dr, ohn ' Calabro and Dr. DeMoura gave a presentation on the revised draft specs dated February 2 , 1994 and noted that the biggest issue right now is the pool.. .2 External Reports .2 . 1 Cape Cod Collaborative Mr. Consalvi said the scheduled meeting had been cancelled due to snow but one was scheduled for April 7th. .2.2 Leisure Services - Ms. Grabs reported that a 7-member Youth Commission has been appointed. She also listed some of the summer programs being offered, i.e. , swimming, archery, horseback riding lessons, and lifeguard training. Other programs include CNP and ;. CPR, 8.2 . 3 School Building Committees 8,2 , 3. 1 Addition - Dr. Petti said them was no meeting but the finalizing of the addition remains to be done. Scheduling is difficult right now. 8.2 .3.2High School - Mrs. Mills reported that the Board of Selectmen are working with the high school
