12 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 21, 2018 <br /> Discussion of Recycling at the Transfer Station:_(continued) <br /> In discussing this matter Town Manager Rodney C. Collins indicated he has made several attempts <br /> since the April 9, 2018 authorization to have the contract executed. Mr. Gregory stated it is his <br /> intention to honor the contracted rates in FYI 9. The contract was thus executed by Mr. Gregory. <br /> Mr. Gregory also recommended the Town acknowledge the need to change from the single stream <br /> recycling program. Ms. Parcell also recommended the Town start separating recyclables. The Board <br /> of Selectmen agreed to further review this matter. It was requested that Barnstable County/MassDEP <br /> provide a written response to the Board regarding this matter including the markets, and grant funding <br /> initiatives prior to reviewing this issue at an upcoming agenda. <br /> Discussion and Approval of Bond Anticipation Note; Town Treasurer Craig Mayen: <br /> Craig Mayen, Treasurer/Tax Collector presented the results of a BAN bid for $2,185,000 to the <br /> Rockland Trust Bank. Projects include road betterment renewals and the fire pumper truck. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Bond Anticipation Note (BAN) in the amount <br /> of$2,185,000 to the Rockland Trust Bank. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Opposed, none <br /> Discussion and Approval of Board of Selectmen Policy #078 — Maghpee..Community Garden Advisor <br /> Committee: <br /> Policy#078; Mashpee Community Garden Advisory Committee (MCGAC) was presented to the Board <br /> of Selectmen for review and approval. The MCGAC would be established to advise the Board of <br /> Selectmen and assist the Town with the creation, maintenance and improvement of the Mashpee <br /> Community Garden, as well as other Town-owned properties deemed to be suitable by the Town for <br /> garden use/improvements, and collectively garden sites. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve Policy##078; Mashpee Community Garden <br /> Advisory Committee as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Opposed, none <br />
